Have we got a gorgeous nursery for you today! Bethany Campbell, who you probably know from The Posh Home, is sharing the beautiful nursery she designed for her second baby girl, Reagan. The light and airy space allows the real showstoppers to shine—hello, pink dresser and wood accent wall. The feminine touches like the floral garland and pom-pom trim add just the right touch of sweetness. You can see more of Bethany’s lovely home and catch glimpses of her life with her two little cuties over on her site. Thank you, Bethany, for sharing with us today! We’ll let her take it from here.
Design inspiration can come from anywhere—what inspired your nursery design?
It’s funny, I wouldn’t say there’s one thing in particular that inspired my nursery design. I had a few items that I cherished and knew would piece together well. I love repurposing old pieces of furniture, and I loved the idea of having a fun-colored dresser, so I made the light pink dresser a focal point in the nursery. I wanted to create a space that was chic, feminine and functional so that my daughter could grow into it.

How did your design evolve when you transitioned from the planning phase to the execution of your vision?
When I started, I already envisioned what I wanted the room to look like. I just had to piece the accessories together and add the woodwork to the accent wall. It came together quickly and beautifully, and I enjoyed styling the room with accessories.

How did your personal style influence your design choices?
I really wanted to create a space that she could grow into. I get excited when it comes to refinishing vintage dressers in fun colors and enjoy incorporating fun touches.

Now that the room is complete, what was your favorite part of the process? And what do you love the most about the finished design?
I absolutely love adding the finishing touches. I can be so impatient at times, so I love the finished creation. My favorite part of her space is the woodwork wall and floral garland. The refinished dresser is my most prized piece in the house—I just love it.
What is that one thing that everyone mentions when they step into this space?
Everyone just adores the dresser and raves about the color.

If you had to choose one aspect of the design that is uniquely you, what would it be?
Definitely the refinished dresser. I have multiple fun colored dressers in my house.
What were your nursery must-haves when you started? Has that changed since you started using the space?
A large dresser for storage and a glider were absolute musts! I am so glad I included those on my must-haves. I value the extra storage because I like to keep it tidy. I spend a large amount of time in the nursery rocking my baby on the glider, and I cherish those moments with her!
What is the one thing that you would tell other parents to consider when they’re starting their own nursery design projects?
I would recommend creating a little haven that you enjoy dwelling in with your little one. List your must-haves, make sure it’s functional so it’s something they can grow into, and then create a space that’s warm, inviting and fun.
